U.S. Alpine Skiing Championships to be Held in Sun Valley

The U.S. ski team includes Kipling Weisel, Thom Weisel’s son, along Tanner Farrow, both of whom are pleased to be able to train and attend the event at home. The two of them will train against some of the best skiers in the nation, and at only 21 and 22 years old, the young athletes are in the spotlight.

49ers and Montgomery Securities Reunion Committee Team Up on $150k Grant to Fresh Lifelines for Youth

The Montgomery Securities Reunion Committee, headed up by fifteen former partners that underwrote the event including Thom Weisel, teamed up with the San Francisco 49ers Foundation in November on an event that raised $150,000 to support Fresh Lifelines for Youth.  Approximately 400 Montgomery Securities alumni were in attendance for an evening of fellowship and philanthropy, with all proceeds going to support FLY.

Taos Pueblo donated to de Young by Thomas Weisel

Thomas Weisel recently donated Taos Pueblo, the first book of Ansel Adams’ photographs, to the de Young Fine Arts Museum. The gift has been described as “the greatest pictorial representation of the American West” by critics, consisting of 12 gelatin silver prints. Taos Pueblo was recently on display at the de Young’s tenth anniversary gala along with other pledged gifts.
